Department of AI&ML establishes a Centre for Research and Innovation. The dedicated department for AI&ML will serve for various computing and resource needs for students studying in AI&ML at our college.

Department of AI&ML has state-of-the-art computing facilities to foster Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning research. With multiple collaborations with leading industry partners, our department is pushing the boundaries of AI&ML with applications spanning various domains.

Mission:

The Department of AI&ML @ JPNCE's mission is to produce students with a sound understanding of the fundamentals of the theory and practise of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The mission is also to enable students to become leaders in the industry and academia nationally and internationally. Finally, the mission is to meet the pressing demands of the nation in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Vision:

A 4-year full-time Professional Program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is offered by our college since 2022. The Program is best suited for Young Professionals seeking to build world-class expertise in AI&ML, and obtain professional certification from our college.

Educational Objectives:

The Department of AI&ML has developed a strong ecosystem for AI&ML pedagogy and research, and offers BTech program in AI&ML. The department currently consists of faculty working in various areas of AI&ML. This program opens doors to plenty of career opportunities in the areas of innovation and problem-solving using AI&ML. Most significantly, it also expands the scope of research in the areas of AI&ML in general. Besides the specializations in AI&ML, students also have an option to explore domains such as Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Robotics and Autonomous Systems; as well as other interdisciplinary areas like Neuroscience, Edge Computing, and Internet of Things.

DEPARTMENT

As AI&ML has become an integral part of technology we use in our daily lives. In recent times, a vivid increase in its usage emphasizes the prominent need of students who can understand and develop AI&ML. Realizing its present significance, the Department of AI&ML offers BTech program which gives an opportunity to learn and apply the fundamental and experimental components of AI&ML. The Department of AI&ML is known for pioneering efforts, as well as interdisciplinary AI&ML research. The Department of AI&ML has seating areas, classrooms and conference rooms for students, also houses labs with high-end computational facilities to meet the ever-increasing demand of AI&ML students. With various GPU servers and the deep learning computers, the labs supports upto 240 students. These labs will be used by the faculty and students to carry out state-of-the art AI&ML research in-house, as well as in partnership with its collaborators in government and the industry.

As the Department of AI&ML @ JPNCE continues to grow by leaps and bounds, the department has recently procured new state-of-the-art technology and infrastructure. This includes an AI&ML center, consisting of various GPU-based servers for carrying out cutting-edge research. In addition, the department also recently entered into close collaboration to establish an Artificial Intelligence Technology Centre.
